Saini General Store

My family has been running Saini General Store for a good while now here in Kankerkhera. You can find us right on Sardhana Road near Nagla Tashi. It is not a very big place but we try to keep the things people in Meerut actually need for their kitchens and homes. Usually, mornings are the most hectic time when everyone is rushing to get milk or bread before work. I started helping out here years ago and now I just handle the daily stuff myself. The shop sits in a busy part of the market so there is always noise from the street. We have shelves full of different packets and loose items too. Sometimes the delivery trucks come late and we have to wait around, which is just how it goes in a place like this. Most of our customers are neighbors who have been coming to us since they were kids. It’s nice to see the same faces every day. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. It is just a regular shop where you can pick up some soap or tea leaves without much fuss. The floor gets a bit dusty because of the road construction nearby but we sweep it when we can. If you are passing through Kanker Khera, you will probably see our sign. We just stay open until the evening and then head home like everyone else.
