Malik Cloth Store

Our shop, Malik Cloth Store, is at No-52 in Sadar Bazar. If you have ever been to Sadar Bazar, you know it is one of the busiest markets you will ever see. Our store is right in the middle of all that chaos. We sell fabric by the meter and also some ready-made pieces. The shelves are packed with rolls of cloth in every color you can think of. Sometimes it is a bit dusty because of all the people and the goods being moved around the market. We have a large wooden table where we measure and cut the fabric for the customers. My grandfather started this shop a long time ago and not much has changed since then. We still use the same old scissors and the same way of doing things. The narrow lanes of the bazaar are always full of life, and we get all sorts of people coming in. Some are looking for something specific for a wedding, while others just want some simple cotton for daily wear. It gets very hot in the summer, but we have a big ceiling fan that keeps the air moving a bit. We don't bother with fancy displays or mannequins. We just put the cloth out where people can touch it and see the material for themselves. It is a busy life here at No-52, but we wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the city.
