Sheikh Scissors Industries

Down at 136 Sabun Gran Street, we run Sheikh Scissors Industries. It is a place where we deal with metal and sharp edges all day. The street itself is usually quite busy, and you can hear the sounds of the neighborhood coming in through the door. Making scissors is old-fashioned work in a way, but people still need them for cutting cloth, hair, or just stuff around the house. We have our tools and our machines, and we spend our time making sure each pair works like it is supposed to. Sometimes the shop feels a bit small when we have a lot of materials lying around. We aren't a giant factory with hundreds of people. It is a smaller setup where we know each other well. We get our hands dirty and there is always some noise from the grinding. You might walk past it if you aren't looking closely. We don't spend money on big signs or anything. We just focus on the scissors. If someone needs a pair that actually cuts well, they eventually find their way to us on Sabun Gran Street. It’s hard work on the fingers sometimes, and the metal can be cold in the winter, but it is what we do. We’ve been here long enough that the routine feels very natural now. It's just us and the steel every day, making sure things stay sharp.
