Priyanka Provision & General Store

I started this shop on Amehda Road quite some time ago. It is just a small place in Gali No.2 here in Meenakshipuram. Most days, I am here from early morning till late evening. People from the neighborhood stop by when they run out of sugar or need some lentils for dinner. We keep all the basic stuff like soap, biscuits, and flour. It’s not a big fancy supermarket, just a regular corner store where everyone knows each other. Sometimes it gets crowded in the evenings when people are coming home from work. Meerut is a busy city but our little lane stays quiet mostly. I try to keep the shelves stocked with whatever the local families ask for. If someone needs something specific, I usually try to get it in the next day. The shop is right here near the main part of Meenakshipuram. It's just me and sometimes my nephew helping out. We don’t have any big signs or anything. It's just a simple life here. I like talking to the regulars who have been coming here for years. We've seen kids grow up and now they come to buy snacks for their own children. Dealing with the distributors is a bit of a headache sometimes but that is just part of the job. The weather in Meerut gets really hot in the summer so the fan stays on all day. It’s a decent living and I’m glad to be part of this community. I hope to stay here for many more years.
