About Prefab Shelter Engineering Works – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Meerut
Prefab Shelter Engineering Works is situated out in Jani Kalan on Baghpat Road. It’s more of a workshop and yard than an office. We spend most of our time out there with the steel and the welding equipment. It’s noisy and dusty, especially when the wind picks up off the road. We build shelters and various prefab structures, which means a lot of heavy lifting and measuring twice before we cut anything. The ground is usually covered in metal scraps and tools. We don’t have a fancy showroom to show off our work; usually, people just come by the site to see what we’re currently putting together. Working outside or in the open shed means we’re at the mercy of the weather. If it rains hard, we have to pause some of the work and cover the machines. It’s a tough, physical job, and we all go home pretty tired and dirty at the end of the day. We’ve got a small crew of workers who know how to handle the machinery and the materials. Most of us have been doing this for years, so we don't need to talk much to get the job done right. We just focus on making sure the structures are solid and fit together like they should. It’s practical work for people who need buildings fast. We’re just local folks doing engineering work on the edge of town, making things that last. It keeps us busy all year round.
