Pooja General Store

Our shop is tucked away in the Meerut Cantt area, over in Sadar Bazaar near Ghantabagh. Pooja General Store is located at 178 E, which is quite close to the HIV Chowk. It is a busy intersection, so we see a lot of traffic passing by all day. The shop is full of the usual things you would expect to find like cooking oil, soaps, lentils, and various snacks. We keep some refrigerated items too, like milk and curd, which always go fast in the early mornings. Being near the Cantt area means things are usually a bit more organized on the roads, but the bazaar itself is always a bit of a scramble. We have had this place for a while and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy with customers to get to it. People come in and out all day long. Some are in a big hurry, while others want to chat for a bit. We do not mind. It is a local place where most everyone knows each other. We try to keep the prices fair and the shelves stocked with what people actually use every day in their kitchens. It is not a supermarket where you wander around with a cart. You just tell us what you need and we get it from the back or off the high shelves. It gets a bit dusty with the wind, but it is just a normal day.
