Payback Foundation

We started the Payback Foundation right out of a house in Miyanwla. Specifically, we are at H.No.-12/09 in the Basant Kunj area. It is a residential neighborhood, so it feels very homey and relaxed here. We did not want a fancy office in the middle of a noisy city center. Being in Basant Kunj lets us stay connected to the real needs of the people living around us. Our space is just a few rooms where we keep our files and meet up to plan things. It is nothing special to look at, just some tables and chairs. Most of the people who help us out live nearby, so they just walk over when they have some free time. We are not a big corporation. We are just a group of friends and neighbors who wanted to do something useful. The name Payback Foundation comes from the idea of giving back to the community that raised us. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out in the streets of Miyanwla. Sometimes we get behind on the admin stuff because we are busy outside. We do not use big words or have complicated goals. We just look at what is broken or who needs a hand and we try to fix it. It is simple work, really. If you are in the neighborhood and see the house number 12/09, that is us. There is usually a pot of tea going and someone willing to listen.
