The Delhi-Roorkee Bypass is a long stretch of road, and we are right there in the Partapur area. Bravura Gold Resort sits in a spot where you can see all the travelers heading north or south. My day usually starts with a walk around the grounds to see if the grass needs cutting or if the paths are clear. The resort is a big place, so there is always something that needs fixing or a lightbulb that needs changing. The lobby is where I spend a lot of time, just making sure the paperwork is sorted and the desk is tidy. It can get quite noisy with the traffic from the bypass, but once you go further into the property, it gets a lot quieter. We have a lot of rooms to keep track of, so the staff is usually busy with laundry and cleaning throughout the morning. The air out here feels a bit different than it does in the middle of the city. We have a big parking lot that is mostly empty in the early hours but fills up as the day goes on. It is a lot of work to keep a place this size running smoothly, and most of it is just staying on top of the small daily chores. By the time the sun sets over the bypass, we are usually getting ready for the next set of people to arrive, making sure everything is where it should be.
