Pankaj General is a small business you can find in Sharma Nagar, Meerut. We are located in the 250001 area, specifically near Hanu. I have lived in Meerut most of my life and opening this shop in Sharma Nagar felt like a natural thing to do. It is a quiet enough residential area, so we mostly see the same faces every single day. The store is just a ground-floor room that we filled with metal shelves and glass jars. We sell everything from little packets of biscuits to laundry soap and basic medicines. It is not a very fancy setup, just a practical one for the people who live on this street. I like to keep the door open so I can see what is happening in the neighborhood. Sometimes the local kids come in just to see what new snacks we have on the counter. We don't have any big corporate rules or uniforms here. I just wear my regular clothes and talk to whoever comes in. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun, but everyone knows where Pankaj General is located. Dealing with the heat in Meerut can be tough in the summer, but the shop stays relatively cool because of the way the building was made. We just keep things moving along one day at a time, making sure we have what the neighbors need.
