P/M Tools & Abrasives

We operate out of L-1657 in Shastri Nagar. It’s a bit of a mixed neighborhood with houses and small businesses all jumbled together. P/M Tools & Abrasives has been here for a good stretch of time. The shop is filled with all kinds of grinding wheels and tools that we keep on metal shelves. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand for anyone who might drop by. Sometimes the neighbors complain if we’re moving heavy boxes too early in the morning, so we try to be mindful of the noise. My father started this, and now I’m the one mostly running things with a couple of helpers. We don't have a big sign or anything very noticeable from the street. You just have to look for the house number on the gate. It’s a simple operation. We spend most of our time answering the phone or checking what’s left in the bins. The dust from the abrasives is something you just get used to after a week of working here. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in the city. We just want to provide the tools that people in the trade need. It's a quiet life for the most part, except when the delivery truck shows up and blocks the narrow street. We just keep doing what we've been doing for years and hope for the best.
