Neetu Beauty Parlour

We have been here on Ambedkar Road for a good while now. Neetu Beauty Parlour is just a small place in Gali No. 3, not far from Ji Subash Chandra Bose Public School. Usually, the mornings start quiet, just cleaning up the floor and getting the chairs ready before the first ladies walk in. It gets quite busy when school lets out, you know how it is in Kanker Khera. We mostly do the regular stuff like threading and hair cuts. Sometimes people come in for a quick facial before a wedding in the family. It is just a simple shop, nothing fancy with big lights or anything. My sister and I handle most of the work. The fans keep us cool enough during the Meerut summers. We know most of the faces that come through the door because they live right around the corner. It is nice having a shop where you can just chat while working. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a short break. It is not a big corporate business, just us helping the neighborhood ladies look a bit neater. We try to keep things tidy and make sure everyone leaves feeling okay. Being at number 398 makes it easy for people to find us once they get off the main road. We just keep doing our work every day, one customer after another, and that is how it goes here in our little corner of Meerut.
