Muni General Store

We have been here at Ekta Nagar for quite some time now. Most people know us because we are right on Roorkee Road, just a short walk from Krishna Automobile. It is a busy spot. The shop is basically a place where you can find the usual stuff you need at home. We open early because the morning rush starts fast around here. Sometimes the stock takes a bit longer to arrange on the shelves, but we get it done. It is just me and a couple of others helping out. We see the same faces every day, which is nice. It gets a bit dusty with all the traffic on the main road, but that is just part of being in Meerut. You learn to live with it. We keep things simple. If we have it, it is on the shelf. If not, we tell you when it might come in. Nothing fancy about the place. Just a regular counter and rows of items. People drop by while getting their bikes fixed nearby or on their way home. We do not have a big fancy sign or anything, just the name. It works for us. The weather gets really hot in the summer, so we keep the fan running full speed. It is a small life but a good one. It is not like those big supermarkets. We actually know what people want before they even ask.
