Mrityunjay Hospital

143 College Road in Meerut Cantt is where our hospital is. It’s a pretty big building, but it feels more like a local place than a big institution. We’ve been part of the Cantt area for decades. The halls are wide and the ceilings are high, which helps keep it cool in the summer. We have a bunch of nurses and staff who have lived in Meerut their whole lives. It gets really busy when the college nearby lets out and the traffic on College Road picks up. We see all kinds of patients, some just for a quick check and others who stay for a few days in the wards. The kitchen in the back makes simple meals for the patients, nothing fancy but it’s hot food. We have a small yard where people can sit outside for a bit of air. The paint is peeling in a few spots near the entrance, but we try to keep the medical areas as clean as possible. It’s a lot of work running a place this size, and there’s always something that needs fixing, like a leaky faucet or a lightbulb that’s gone out. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. People just know we are here when they need help. It’s a noisy, busy place, but it’s our life and we’re used to the rhythm of it.
