Meerut Taxi Union

The Meerut Taxi Union is situated right on Delhi Road in the Meerut Cantt area. We are positioned by the Roadways Daily Bus Stand, which is a very active spot. If you look across the street, you’ll see the Bhaishali Ground and the Meerut Tehsil, so there is always a crowd nearby. This place is usually full of drivers talking, drinking tea, and waiting for their next turn. It’s a bit of a dusty location because of all the buses and cars pulling in and out of the stand all day long. We deal with a lot of different people, from government workers at the Tehsil to travelers coming off the long-distance buses. The noise of horns and engines is just part of the background here. Our office is a place where we manage the lineup of taxis and handle the logistics of the union. It’s not a quiet job by any means. There is a lot of shouting back and forth to get things moving. We’ve been at this Delhi Road spot for years, and it feels like the center of everything. We don't have a lot of time for formalities because there is always a driver needing a slip or a customer looking for a cab to take them across the state. It is hard work and the days are long, but this is where the transportation happens in this part of Meerut.
