Meerut Cancer Centre

This center is situated on Shivaji Road, which is part of the Eastern Kutchery Road area in Meerut. If you know where Shankar Ashram is, we are right near there, just opposite the Health Care building. It is a serious kind of place because of the work we do with cancer patients. It is not always easy being here every day, seeing people go through tough times, but it is the job we have. The building itself is older, and we have several rooms for consultations and some of the treatments people need. People come from all over the district, not just from the city, because there aren't many places doing this kind of work nearby. We spend a lot of time looking at reports and talking to families about what comes next. It can get a bit overwhelming sometimes with the number of people waiting in the hall, but we try to get through the list as best as we can. The office stays open late most days because there is always someone else needing to be seen. We don't use a lot of big words or try to act like we are in a fancy city hospital. We are just here on Shivaji Road doing the work that needs doing for those who are sick. It is a busy, often quiet place where people are just looking for some help. We do our work, talk to the patients, and then head home to our own families.
