Meenu Mumtaz Herbal Clinic

We have been sitting here at 32 Gaushala Nadi Road for quite some time now. The street gets pretty dusty in the afternoons especially when the trucks go by toward the Gaushala area. Our clinic is just a simple place really. You walk in and you see a lot of wooden shelves filled with different dried plants and some glass jars. It smells like roots and old paper most days. We don't have any fancy waiting room furniture just some plastic chairs that have seen better days but they do the job just fine. People come in from the neighborhood mostly when they feel a bit off or just want something for a cough. It gets a bit crowded on Monday mornings for some reason and we often have to tell folks to just wait a bit under the fan. There isn't any big sign outside just a regular one so you have to look for the door near the bend in the road. We spend a lot of time grinding things up and weighing them on a small scale. It's a quiet sort of work when the traffic isn't too loud outside. Sometimes the rain comes down hard and we have to pull the shutter half down to keep the water from splashing in from the street. It’s just us here trying to help out whoever walks through that door on Nadi Road. Sometimes we share a cup of tea while waiting for the next person to show up.
