Being near the mandir means there are always people around, especially on festival days or during morning prayers. We can hear the bells from the shop. It’s a good place to be. We have been on Ambedkar Road for quite a while. The shop is a basic general store. We have shelves lined with all sorts of things that the local people need. Satish Chowk is a busy intersection so there is a lot of dust and noise from the traffic. We spend a lot of time wiping down the counters. We don't have any fancy marketing or big banners. People just know Luxmi General Store because it’s a landmark in Kanker Khera now. We are just regular people running a business. Some days are slow and some days we can't even sit down because there are so many people coming in. We don't mind either way.
