It’s just a regular shop where we sell things people need every day. I don’t have any big signs or anything. The street outside is always noisy with people going to work and coming back. I usually start the morning by checking what is left on the shelves. Sometimes things run out faster than I expect, so I have to make a list for the next delivery. It isn't a complicated business. We have biscuits, snacks, and some basic kitchen items. Most of the people who come in live right around here in Meerut. They might just want a packet of salt or some matches. I keep the door open so the air moves around, even when it’s hot outside. Sometimes the neighbors stop by just to talk for a minute or two. I like being on Roorkee Road because there is always something to see. I’ve lived around here for a long time so I know the area well. The shop isn't fancy, just shelves and a floor that needs sweeping every couple of hours because of the dirt from the road. I just do my work and try to keep everything organized for the next person who walks in. It isn't perfect but it is my shop.
