If you live around Meerut, you probably know the Suraj Kund area. That’s where Kaushik Clothing Co is located, specifically at shop number three. We’ve been here a while. It’s not a huge place, just a regular shop where we sell clothes for the local folks. We get a lot of people coming in after work or on their way to the market. The shop is filled with all sorts of things, from basic shirts to pants and some heavier stuff for when the weather turns cold. It can get pretty noisy out on the street, but inside we just focus on getting people what they need. We don't have a big team or anything, usually just a couple of us helping out. Sometimes the deliveries are late, or the sizes we get aren't exactly what we ordered, but we manage. People in Meerut appreciate honesty, so we just tell them what we have and what we don't. It's a simple way of doing business. We spend a lot of time folding and refolding clothes because people like to see everything before they buy. That’s just part of the job. The shop has its quirks, like the door that sticks a little in the monsoon, but it’s home to us. We try to keep the stock fresh so there’s always something new to look at when you walk in.
