We have our spot right on Hapur Road, near Eves Crossing here in Meerut. It’s always a bit noisy outside with the traffic, but we are used to it by now. The buses come in and out all day, and there is always something to do with the engines or the cleaning. Our office isn’t much to look at, just some chairs and a desk where we keep the logs. My family has been doing this for years, and we just keep the buses running the way we know how. The drivers usually hang around out front when they aren't on a route, drinking tea and talking about the roads. Sometimes the weather makes things hard, especially when it’s pouring rain or when the summer heat hits Meerut really bad. We just deal with it. People know where to find us because we’ve been at this address for so long. There is a lot of dust from the road, so we are always wiping down the tables. We don't have any fancy stuff here. It’s just us working every day, making sure the trips happen on time. If a bus breaks down, we spend the whole night fixing it in the yard. That is just how it goes in this business. We don't spend much time on computers, mostly just paper and pens for the bookings. It’s a simple life on Hapur Road and we just keep at it.
