Being out here in Shatabdi Nagar means it gets pretty loud. We are located over in Sector 3, right on the Delhi Road. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always trucks coming and going. We have these big sheds, numbers 185, 195, and 196. Most of the day is spent checking the phosphate levels and making sure the machinery doesn't act up. It’s hot work, especially in the summer months when the sun hits the metal roofs. We’ve got a small crew here. Some of the guys have been with us for years. We eat lunch together in the back office where the fan actually works. It isn't a glamorous job by any means. There’s white powder on everything, even our boots. We just keep our heads down and get the orders ready. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the traffic on the main road, which can be a real headache. We deal with it. This isn't some corporate office with fancy carpets. It’s a factory floor. We focus on the mixing and the packing. If you walk by, you’ll see us moving pallets around with the old forklift. It makes a screeching sound that we’ve all just gotten used to. We stay open late if we have to. It's just how we run things here in the industrial zone.
