Hanif Group

Our place, Hanif Group, is right in the middle of the chaos at No. 307 Kotla Market. If you’ve ever been to Ghanta Ghar, you know how packed it gets. There’s always someone shouting, bikes squeezing through the gaps, and the sound of the clock tower in the background. We’ve been in this spot for years, and the shop is filled with all sorts of things from floor to ceiling. It’s a bit cramped, honestly. You have to watch your step so you don’t trip over a crate or a bundle of goods. We start early in the morning before the heat gets too bad, opening up the shutters and setting things out. Most of our day is spent dealing with the local crowd. People come in looking for specific parts or just to ask questions. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing person. It’s just us. We drink a lot of tea while we work, mostly from the stall down the street. The walls are covered in old calendars and notes we’ve scribbled to ourselves over the months. It’s a working man’s environment. There’s no air conditioning, just a couple of old ceiling fans that creak when they’re on high speed. We like being part of the market life. It’s loud and exhausting, but it’s home for us. Every day is pretty much the same, and we’re fine with that. We just focus on the customers and the stock.
