You can find us at 55, Villa Anandam, right off Meerut Road. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the main part of the city, but we like the pace out here better. The name Grassroots Economics Environment And Tech Advancement Foundation is a bit of a mouthful, we know that for sure. We usually just call it the foundation when we’re talking among ourselves or to the neighbors. Our setup is inside a villa, so it feels more like a home than an actual office. We have laptops spread out on the dining table and piles of notes about local environment projects and small-scale tech stuff everywhere. It’s a bit disorganized at times, to be honest. One day we’re talking about soil quality, and the next we’re looking at some new software for a local business. Being on Meerut Road means we get a lot of dust and noise from the big trucks passing by, but that’s just part of the life here. We aren't big on formal meetings or wearing suits. Most of us just show up in whatever’s comfortable and get to work. We started this because we wanted to see things improve at a local level without waiting for someone else to do the heavy lifting. It’s slow going sometimes, and we hit plenty of roadblocks with getting people to listen, but we stay at it. Villa 55 is where it all happens, with plenty of coffee and shared effort.
