Gipfel Climbing Equipment

Out on Kunda Road in Partapur, you will find the building where Gipfel Climbing Equipment operates. It is not a very busy road, but it is where we do all our daily work. We make gear for people who like to climb mountains. Our space is filled with sewing machines and rolls of heavy webbing. There is always the sound of needles clicking and fabric being cut. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have enough space to spread things out. We don't have a fancy showroom for visitors. Most of the room is taken up by boxes ready to be shipped out to customers. We spend a lot of time checking the stitching on things. It is repetitive work, but it has to be done right every single time. Partapur is a decent place to work from, even if it feels a bit out of the way sometimes. We have a small team here and we mostly just stick to our tasks and drink a lot of chai. Sometimes climbers stop by to see where their gear comes from. We aren't much for talking big. We just like making stuff that works when you are hanging off a rock. The floor is usually covered in thread scraps and little bits of metal. It is a real workshop, not a polished corporate office. We just do our bit on Kunda Road and head home when the work is finished.
