Shahil Garments

You can find Shahil Garments right in the middle of Punjabi Market, near the Ghanta Ghar area. It's a crowded place, especially on weekends when everyone is out shopping. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a good while. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack the clothes pretty high on the shelves to make everything fit. Sometimes it’s hard to find a specific size right away, but we eventually dig it out. We don't have those fancy displays like the malls do. It’s just us, the racks, and the customers coming in from the street. The Ghanta Ghar clock tower is a good landmark if you get lost, but most locals know exactly where we are. We deal with all sorts of people every day. Some stay to chat, others are in a hurry. We just keep things simple. We buy what we think people will want and try to keep the stock fresh. It’s a bit dusty because of the market traffic, but that’s just part of being in this location. We don't do any big advertising. People just see the sign and walk in. It’s a busy life running a garment shop here. We spend most of our time folding things back up after someone has looked through them. It’s not complicated, just a lot of moving around and making sure the shop stays open for whoever needs us.
