Freshnic Ice Cream

Running a business on Delhi Road is always an experience because the traffic never seems to stop. We are tucked into Plot No-107/330 over in the Madhavpuram part of Prem Vihar. It is a bit of a dusty area sometimes with all the big trucks going by, but we have gotten used to it over the years. People stop in because they see the sign while they are stuck in traffic or they just live nearby in the colony. We spend a lot of time just cleaning the floors and making sure the storage area is organized, which feels like a never-ending task. Sometimes the freezer doors get left open a crack by accident and we all have a bit of a panic. It is not the most glamorous work, mostly just checking dates and making sure the inventory matches what we have written down on the paper. My brother helps me out on the weekends when it gets extra busy with families coming by. We see a lot of the same faces from around Prem Vihar, which is nice. You get to know what people like after a while. The sun hits the front of the building pretty hard in the afternoons, so we keep the shutters down halfway sometimes just to stay cool inside. It is a simple setup, nothing like those big offices in the city. We just handle the ice cream and try to stay out of the way.
