The Eye Care Clinic And Optical Center is over on Delhi Road in the Shivpuram Nai Basti area. Once you’re on the main road, it’s a pretty easy place to spot. From testing eyes to helping people pick out frames that don't look too weird, we do a bit of everything here. All the displays mean the optical side of things takes up a fair bit of space. Since we opened this branch, I’ve been here and it’s been interesting seeing the neighborhood grow. To make it feel bigger than it is, the walls are painted a light color. Because of the road traffic, we get a lot of dust and are constantly wiping down the glass cases. It’s a bit of a chore but necessary. Even if it's not the newest model on the market, our equipment is reliable. For when the waiting room gets full, we have a small bench outside. Sometimes the neighbors pop in just to say hello or ask for directions. It’s that kind of place. Standard checkups and selling glasses are all we do; nothing fancy. If your frames need a repair, we usually have the tools handy to fix a loose screw. It stays pretty busy on weekends especially. We just keep our heads down and work through the list of names on the clipboard. It is hard work but it keeps the lights on. We're just glad to be here and helping the folks who walk in.
