Our place is located on Garh Road in Hasanpur Kaddim. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the main city, but it’s where we’ve always been. The road stays pretty busy with tractors and trucks passing by all day long. Our building is a simple one, right on the edge of the road. We don’t have a fancy showroom. Most of our space is used for production and storage. We have a lot of fabric rolls sitting around and the smell of new cloth is everywhere. It’s just a few of us working here. We start when the sun comes up and usually head out before it gets too dark. The area around Hasanpur Kaddim is pretty quiet once you get away from the main road. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just make clothes. Some days the machines act up and we have to spend the morning fixing them, which is frustrating but part of the job. We have a small table in the back where we eat our lunch together and talk about nothing in particular. We don't have a website or a social media manager. If someone wants to find us, they usually just ask around the neighborhood. It’s a practical way to run a business. We focus on the stitches and the fabric and let everything else take care of itself.
