Ek Kiran Aasha Foundation

Ek Kiran Aasha Foundation is located right here at Mahendar Singh’s place in Jayant Vihar. We are in Baraut, which is part of the Baghpat district. Living here in Uttar Pradesh, you see a lot of things that could be better for the people around you. We started this because we wanted to be a small light for those who are having a tough time. It’s not a huge operation with a lot of money. We mostly work out of this house and try to help the neighborhood where we can. Whether it is helping a kid with school stuff or looking after someone who is sick, we just try to be there. The address is easy to find if you know Jayant Vihar. We've lived here for years, so we know most of the families in the 250611 area. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just our little corner of it. Sometimes we run out of time or resources, but that doesn't stop us from trying again the next day. It’s a very local thing, very grounded. We don't use big words or make huge promises. We just see a need and try to fill it. It feels right to do this work from home. Baraut has its challenges, but the people here are good, and that’s why we do what we do. We just want to help our neighbors out whenever possible.
