Our place is at H no 380, New Block in ward no 15. It’s in Hastinapur, Meerut. Being here feels a bit different than the bigger cities, which is nice in its own way. DHALI CONSTRUCTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED is run from this house-style setup. We have one room dedicated just to the blueprints and the computer we use for everything. It gets a bit cramped when everyone shows up at once, but we make it work. Meerut has its own pace, and we try to keep up with it. We usually start quite early in the morning before it gets too hot. Most of our day is spent talking to workers or checking on supplies like bricks and cement. My desk is right by the window, so I see everyone walking by in the street. Sometimes kids are playing outside and it gets loud, but I don’t mind it. We have some old filing cabinets that are almost full now. We probably should organize them better, but there’s never enough time. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here. We don’t use any big words or have fancy presentations. We just show people what we can do and talk about the costs and the time it takes. It’s honest work and we like being part of the local community here in Hastinapur. Anyway, if you are in the neighborhood, you will probably see our truck parked out front most mornings.
