Platinum Sports

You can find us over at B-2/1 Sports Goods Complex on Delhi Road. It’s a noisy part of town with all the traffic, but being in the sports complex means we are around people who actually care about the gear. I started Platinum Sports because I’ve always been around games. The shop is filled with everything from cricket bats to footballs. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough floor space for all the boxes that arrive. Trying to keep the gear organized by type is the goal, but on a busy Saturday, things end up all over the place. A lot of my time is spent talking to coaches and kids who are just starting out. They usually know exactly what they want, which makes my job easier. The shelves are high and sometimes the ladder is needed just to reach a pair of gloves. We don't have a big marketing budget or a shiny showroom. It’s just a practical space where you can get what you need for the weekend match. If the air conditioner acts up when it’s too hot outside, we just open the door and keep going. It’s a good community here on Delhi Road. Most of the shop owners know each other. Grabbing tea from the stall nearby is what we do when things quiet down in the afternoon. It’s just how we run things, day in and day out, without any fuss.
