Our spot is at No. 140 Baba Khaki. It’s not a very big place, just a simple room where we get our work done. We spend most of our time dealing with different types of fabrics and threads. There’s a big wooden table in the middle of the room where everything happens, from measuring to cutting. We usually have the radio playing some old songs in the background. It helps pass the time when we have a lot of sewing to do. The walls are lined with shelves that are mostly overflowing with rolls of cloth and boxes of buttons. It’s a bit messy, to be honest, but we know where everything is. The neighbors are nice, and we often share a cup of tea in the afternoon when things slow down. We don't have a fancy storefront with big windows. It's just a regular door with our name on a small board. Sometimes the floor gets covered in scraps of fabric, and we have to do a big cleanup on Saturday evenings before we head home. We’ve been here for a while now, and the routine hasn't changed much. We just show up, do the work, and talk to whoever walks through the door. It is a quiet kind of life, but we like the work we do. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit, but it still keeps us cool enough during the summer months.
