About Asharam Jankalyan Foundation – Charity & Non Profit Organisations in Meerut
If you head out to Village Banwaripur, you’ll find us at House Number 29. This is where Asharam Jankalyan Foundation is based. It’s deep in the Meerpur area of Meerut. It’s very much a village setting, so you might see some cattle or tractors passing by the front door while we’re working. The air is a bit cleaner out here than in the city center, but the roads can get pretty muddy when it rains. We don’t have any fancy air conditioning, just the windows and maybe a cooler if it gets really hot in the summer months. Most of the people working here are from the village or nearby. We know everyone’s name and their family history. It’s not the kind of place where you need an appointment or a badge to come inside. You just walk up to the door and see if anyone is in. Sometimes we’re out in the fields or visiting a neighbor, so the office might be empty for an hour. We don’t have a big budget for decorations, so the walls are mostly bare except for a calendar and a few old photos. Meerut is a big place, but Banwaripur feels small and tucked away. We like it that way because it's home. It’s just a simple house where we try to get things done for the folks living around us.
