Subhash Traders

You can find Subhash Traders over at 167/1 Anand Puri, right on Railway Road. Being so close to the tracks means we hear the trains going by all day long, which you eventually just get used to. We have a small shopfront and a storage area in the back. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and we’ve been here since the neighborhood looked a lot different than it does now. We sell various goods to the locals and some of the smaller businesses around here. It’s a simple operation where we keep track of things in a notebook and talk to anyone who walks in. We don't have a website or any of that stuff. If you want something, you just come by and ask. Sometimes we have what you need and sometimes we have to order it in. We try to be helpful, but we are just regular people trying to make a living. The shop gets a bit dusty because of the road, and we spend a lot of time just cleaning the shelves and rearranging the stock. It’s not a big corporate store, so things are a bit cramped and messy. We know our customers by name and they know us. It’s a quiet life for the most part, just moving boxes and counting change. We usually close up early on the weekends to spend some time with our families.
