Anamika General Store

Anamika General Store is located right at 108 Shankar Market, on Painth Road in Jagriti Vihar. We've been in this part of Meerut for quite some time now. Being on Sec8 Road means there is always someone walking by or stopping their scooter to pick something up. The shop isn't huge, but we pack a lot into the shelves. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough room to move, but that’s just how it is in Shankar Market. I spend a lot of my day checking stock and talking to the delivery guys who come down Painth Road. It gets dusty outside sometimes, so I'm always wiping down the counters. People come here for the basic things they need for their homes. We don't try to be anything fancy. It’s just a place to get your supplies and maybe have a quick chat while I bag your items. My brother helps out when he can, but mostly it's just me here. We keep the doors open late because people always forget something for dinner. It's a simple life running a store in Meerut. Nothing special, just keeping the shelves full and the lights on for the neighbors. I usually sit on a small plastic chair near the entrance when it is quiet and watch the traffic.
