Ambey Trading

Shop No-17 is where we are, right near Suraj Kund Park. It is a decent spot because of the park nearby, so there is always some activity happening. We handle trading for different items people might need. It’s a small shop, but we pack a lot into it. Most days start with opening the metal shutters and sweeping the front step. We see people walking their dogs or heading to the park while we are setting up our stuff. We have been in Suraj Kund for a while now. People in the neighborhood know the shop. We don’t do much advertising; folks just see the sign when they pass by. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded with boxes and new stock. We have to move things around to find what someone is looking for. It is just a few of us working here. We take turns going for tea or getting lunch from the stalls nearby. The afternoons can be quiet, and then it gets busy again when people are leaving work. We try to keep the inventory updated so we don't run out of the common stuff. It isn't a big corporate setup. It is just a local shop where we know most of our neighbors. If the park is having an event, it gets really crowded around here. We just keep the door open and wait for whoever needs something. It’s a simple way to make a living and stay involved with the community.
