We are really close to Capital School, so we hear the kids playing and the bells ringing all through the day. Meerut City is a crowded place, and our little corner of it is no different. The clinic is tucked away a bit, but once you find Street No-7, it’s easy enough to spot us. We have a small desk near the front where we keep the patient files stacked up. It’s not digital or anything fancy like that; we still use paper and pens for most things. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they’ve looked this way for years and nobody seems to mind much. We spend a lot of our time talking to people from the colony. Since we are right near the school, we get a lot of parents stopping by after they drop their children off. It feels very much like a part of the neighborhood. We don’t have a big waiting room, just a few stools and a bench along the wall. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when three or four families show up at once, but we manage. We just keep things moving at a steady pace, making sure everyone gets a turn without feeling rushed, even when the street outside is noisy and the day gets long.
