Ajanta Tourist Service

Our office is in Ajanta Bhawan, right there at 611 Shivaji Marg. It’s a well-known spot near Eves Crossing in Meerut City. If you know the area, you know how hectic the traffic can be right outside our door. We’ve been operating out of this building for a long time. The office is a bit old, with wooden desks and stacks of old ledgers from years of travel bookings. We mostly spend our time coordinating the cars and making sure the tourists get where they need to go. Shivaji Marg is always loud, so we have to talk a bit louder over the horns. The drivers wait downstairs or near the crossing, and we call them up when a job comes in. It’s not a fancy setup. We have a few old maps on the wall and a fan that squeaks a little when it’s on high. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit by the window to get some light. We don't do things in a very modern way, but the work gets done. People stop by to ask for directions or to see if we have a car available for the weekend. It’s a steady rhythm here at the crossing. We know the neighbors and the shopkeepers around Ajanta Bhawan pretty well. It’s just a local business trying to keep the wheels turning every day in the middle of the city and making sure everyone gets home.
