Aggarwal Traders

Our office for Aggarwal Traders is right next to the Santosh Hostel on GT Road in Kadrabad. It’s a very busy spot. There is always someone shouting or a truck honking outside. The office is basically one room with a couple of desks and a lot of ledgers. We don't use computers for everything because we are used to writing things down. It feels more real that way. The walls are a bit yellowed from the age of the building. We’ve been here for a long time, so we know everyone on this stretch of GT Road. The students from the hostel often walk past our door. Sometimes they stop in to ask for directions. We deal with trading different types of goods. It’s mostly about moving stuff from the suppliers to the local shops. Some days are very slow and we just sit and watch the traffic. Other days, three trucks show up at once and it’s a total mess. We have to scramble to get everything unloaded and checked. My brother handles the phone calls while I manage the yard. We often argue about where to put the new stock because space is tight. It’s not a fancy setup at all. The roof leaks a tiny bit in the corner when there's a heavy storm. We just put a bucket there and keep going. That's life for us here in Kadrabad. We don't need much more than this to keep things running.
