Aakanshan General Kirana Store

Aakanshan General Kirana Store is a small place located right by the Buxur Tampo Stand on Amehra Road. It is easy to find if you are around the Kaseru Baksar area of Meerut. I spend most of my day here behind the counter. The shop is not very big but it holds a lot of things people need every day. You can find things like flour, lentils, and different types of spices in the jars. The morning starts early because people heading to the tempo stand often stop for a quick purchase before they leave for work. I usually open up while the sun is still coming up. It gets a bit noisy with the vehicles nearby, but you get used to it after a few weeks. Sometimes the stock runs low on popular items like cooking oil or soap, and then I have to make a trip to get more. The shelves are mostly made of wood and I try to keep them organized, though it gets messy when we are busy. Neighbors come in to chat as much as they do to buy stuff. It feels like a part of the community here in 250001. We don’t have fancy lighting or air conditioning, just a basic fan that hums in the corner. It is a simple life running a kirana store in this part of town. Most people know me by name now.
