Saptarshi Vivekananda Social Welfare

We started this over at Chandipur, inside Rvs Nagar. It's basically a bunch of us trying to help out where we can. Saptarshi Vivekananda Social Welfare is based at Manimala Das's place. Things get busy here in Purba Medinipur. We deal with whatever comes our way on a daily basis. Sometimes the fans don't work and it gets hot, but we keep at it. People come by looking for some kind of support and we try to figure it out together. It’s not a big office with fancy chairs or anything like that. Just some desks and a lot of paperwork piled up. We’ve been here in the Midnapore area for a bit now. Most days it’s just about managing the small stuff that adds up. You’ll find us near the Chandipur post office. If you're walking down the lane, just look for the sign. We talk to the locals, listen to what's going wrong in the neighborhood, and see if there's a way to fix it. It’s hard work and the hours are long sometimes. We don't have a big team, just a few dedicated folks who live nearby. We share tea and talk about what needs doing next. It’s simple, really. We just want to make sure things are a little bit better than they were yesterday for the families around here. No big speeches, just showing up every morning and doing the work that needs to be done.
