Kharagpur is a busy place with the railway and all, so there is always someone looking to build something or find a bit of land. We mostly focus on the local neighborhoods around Nimpura. It’s a lot of walking around, checking property lines, and talking to folks about what they need for their houses. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us trying to make sure the buildings we put up actually stay up. Sometimes we meet people right at the site because it’s easier than trying to navigate the traffic to get back to Malancha Road. Building stuff around here means dealing with the humidity and making sure the workers have enough water. We’ve had days where everything goes wrong with the supply chain, and we’re just sitting there waiting for a truck of sand that’s stuck somewhere. But that’s the life of a builder in Midnapore.
