Bongo Grameen Nidhi Limited is out in Birulia, which is in the Nandigram area of Midnapore. Our office is at Alakesh Khatuya’s place. It’s a village setting, so things are pretty calm compared to the city. The pincode is 721650. We’ve been operating in this part of West Bengal for a while now. The office is just a simple room with some chairs and a few desks. We don't have a lot of modern decor. It’s mostly just files and the computer we use for the accounts. We spend our days helping people with their small savings and loans. It’s the kind of work where you get to know everyone. Nandigram is a place where people talk to each other, so we don't need to advertise much. We just do our work and let people see for themselves. Sometimes the road to Birulia gets a bit muddy when it rains, but people still make it here. We aren't trying to be a massive bank. We just want to provide a local option for the folks in Midnapore. It’s a humble setup, but it’s ours. We don't use fancy terms or try to sound like we’re from a big city office. We just speak plainly and get the job done. It feels good to be part of the village life here. The light comes in nicely through the windows in the morning.
