Banka Food Processing Foundation

We are located in Vil Kharagpur, right on I B Road in Ward No 01. If you’re looking for us, we’re at Manidra Kr Singh’s place. Being in a rural part of Banka means our day-to-day life is tied closely to the local area. We focus on food processing, which mostly means we’re handling crops and turning them into something ready for the market. It’s a lot of physical work and staying on top of what’s being harvested in the fields around us. The foundation isn't some big high-tech factory. It’s more of a local operation where we do things the practical way. Sometimes the electricity cuts out or the machines need a bit of extra attention, but we get through it. People around here know us as a small group trying to make the most of the local produce. We don't have a lot of fancy office equipment. We spend more time out where the actual processing happens than sitting at desks. It's about getting the food cleaned, sorted, and packed properly. The seasons dictate how busy we are. When the harvest comes in, everyone is working long hours. When it’s quiet, we spend time fixing things and getting ready for the next cycle. It’s honest work, and we just try to do right by the local farmers and the people who end up eating what we process.
