We are over here in Dwarikapur, right near the Bazar in Debra. It is a bit of a dusty spot but we get the work done. The handlooms make a lot of noise when everyone is working at once. Sometimes the threads break and we have to stop and fix them by hand which takes forever. My father started this and now we just keep it going because it is what we know. The building is not much to look at, just some concrete and the tin roof gets really hot in the middle of the day. We have a few guys from the village who come in early. We drink a lot of tea while we look at the fabric patterns. It’s not fancy work, just textiles and handloom stuff that people actually use. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit outside until it comes back on. The address is Sampita Pradhan's place, right in the heart of the area. We have stacks of cloth piled up in the corner. Some days are slow and some days we are rushing to finish a batch. It’s just how it goes here. We don't have a big office or anything, just the workspace and the machines. You can hear the clatter from down the road. It’s a busy little place even if it looks quiet from the outside.
