We work out of a space in Manoharchak, which is in the Janka area of Purba Medinipur. To be more specific about it, we're actually set up at Amalendu Pramanik's place. It’s a very local setup, almost like being in someone’s home while you work. We’ve got our desks set up and we spend our time managing the daily tasks for the folks around here. Medinipur is a big place, but our little corner of it is quite calm. Most people who come to see us are from right around the neighborhood. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the paperwork. It’s a lot of back-and-forth with the documents, but we’re used to it by now. The office is a bit dusty sometimes because of the road nearby, but we don't mind it too much. We usually have some tea around mid-morning and talk about whatever is going on in the village. It’s a very grounded way of doing business. We don’t use any complicated systems, just the basic stuff that works for us and the people who come in. It’s nice being part of the community like this. People know they can just walk in and find us at our desks most days. We don't try to be anything we're not. It's just a regular office doing regular things for the people living in Janka.
