Pitterlark Foundation

You can find us over at Banamali Thakur’s place, right in front of Thin Park in Mahesdihi. It is a nice little spot, and having the park right there makes it easy to find. We aren’t some big, fancy foundation with a glass office. We are just a few locals who wanted to do something useful for the community here. Most of our meetings happen sitting around a wooden table with some snacks. We don’t have any employees in suits. It’s just us, the people who live on these streets. We help out with different things as they come up. Sometimes it’s about the park or maybe helping a family with some paperwork. We don't have a polished way of doing things. If something needs to be done, we just figure it out as we go. The fan in the room usually wobbles a bit, and we have to shout over it sometimes. It’s a very simple setup. We know the shopkeepers and the kids who play in the park every afternoon. We don’t bother with big promotional events or anything like that. People just know us because we’ve lived here forever. We keep our records in a few folders and try not to lose them. It’s just a practical, local effort. We’re just regular folks trying to be helpful in our own small way.
