Out here in Alukaranbar, life is pretty straightforward and quiet. Pallypragati India Nidhi Limited is our small operation in the Kotmukha area of Purba Medinpur. We are a part of this community. You won't find any glossy brochures or corporate executives in suits here. It’s just a few of us in a simple office with a few desks. We handle the savings and the small loans for the people in our village and the surrounding parts of Midnapore. The 721454 area is where we live too, so we see our customers at the market or at the temple. We know the families and the shops around here. When someone walks in, we usually know exactly who they are and what they need. We do our work on old-fashioned desks and use our computers to keep everything straight and organized. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s good, steady work. We don't promise anything crazy or impossible. We just provide a place for people to keep their money and maybe get a little help when they need it for their farm or shop. The office is quiet most of the time, except when it’s market day and more people come by to settle their accounts. We don't have a marketing department or an ad budget. Word of mouth is how everyone knows where we are. We just keep our heads down, do the bookkeeping, and make sure we are open when the locals need us. It’s basic and it works just fine.
