Malakar Consturction Private Limited is located out in Piyasala Colony, which is part of the Hoomgarh area in Paschim Medinipur. It is a bit of a drive to get out here, but this is where we have our base. The office isn’t anything too special to look at, just a place where we keep the records and meet up before heading out to the sites. We handle a lot of the local building work around Midnapore. Some days are just spent on the phone trying to track down trucks or making sure the laborers are where they need to be. Piyasala is a quiet enough spot, though things get loud when the heavy machinery starts moving through the colony. We’ve got a small team, and everyone knows everyone else’s business, which helps when things get busy. The weather out here in West Bengal can be a real pain, especially when the rains start and the roads turn to mud. We just keep at it, though. There is always something that needs fixing or a new wall that needs to go up somewhere nearby. We don’t have a big marketing department or a fancy lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably find us drinking tea and looking over some handwritten notes about cement prices. It is a simple operation, really. We just focus on the jobs we have in front of us and try to stay on schedule.
