Jayota Nidhi Limited

Our little office is out in Shyampur village, which is part of the Shillaberia post office area in Midnapore. Specifically, we are at Basudeb Pramanik’s house. If you are looking for Jayota Nidhi Limited, you have to head towards the Khejuri police station side of things. It’s a bit of a trek if you aren't from around here, but the locals know the way. The office is really just a room where Basudeb has set up some tables and chairs. We have some old fans that keep the air moving, which is necessary because Midnapore gets really warm. We handle the registrations and the money matters for the people who live in the surrounding fields and small clusters. It’s quiet work, mostly writing things down in books and occasionally using the computer when the internet signal is strong enough. The 721431 area is mostly farmland, so our schedule sometimes follows the seasons. When it's harvest time, things get a bit quieter, and then it picks up again. We don't have any big corporate banners or a receptionist at a front desk. You just walk in and talk to whoever is sitting there. We try to keep the paperwork simple because no one likes filling out twenty different forms. It’s just us, some pens, and a lot of registers. We have been in this spot for a while and don't plan on moving anywhere else soon.
